Meditation: Gateway to Fulfillment and Discovery of your True Self

 What if I told you that to get the most of life, all you need to do is quiet your mind. It sounds simple and yet is exceptionally difficult. What I’m talking about is meditation. Mediation is the practice of focusing your attention on a particular sense, and allowing the mind to wander but bringing it back to the mode of attention. With time, this practice begins to bring forth many benefits and education about the inner workings of the mind. It will begin to take hold in every aspect of your life. Let’s talk about why everyone should be meditating. 

Meditation can raise your concentration and focus on any task. Meditation can enhance your mindfulness capacity. Meditation can bring awareness into the devious workings of your mind. Lastly, it allows you to connect with your true self, which is not influenced by external forces. If any of these abilities have captivated you, continue reading to find out more. 

CONCENTRATION AND FOCUS ABILITY

I’m sure that you are aware of the flow state, or the state in which you are in the zone. Time passes by in the blink of the eye, your actions are effortless, and you simply are being. With a regular practice, you will condition your mind to block out distractions, not feed into disruptive thoughts, and grow this heavily desired flow state daily. This acknowledgment is incredibly powerful. It gives you the ability to immerse yourself in a task fully. It gives you increased information and mental resources to handle the task in front of you. It allows you to embrace all moments of life fully.

MINDFULNESS ABILITY

Your mind is like a muscle. It strengthens and grows with diligence and practice. As a refresher, most of your mind is unconscious. Roughly 10% of your brain is known( consciousness), and 90% is unknown(unconsciousness). Starting, you might have 10% capabilities to focus on a particular task. With practice, you are training your sub-minds that reside in the unconscious to work together and not create conflict. Over time, the amount of mental resources you have will begin to increase, and with that, more information will be available to you.

For example, say you have never meditated before, and have little knowledge of how the mind works. Then you are instructed to taste an orange. You have tasted an orange before, so you expect how it is going to taste. Recently, you just fought with your significant other, and you are ruminating about that during your eating. So before getting to eat it, your distracted in the past about the conflict, and you are going in with an expectation of the future. YOU ARE MISSING THE PRESENT.

Let’s revise this situation with an advanced meditator. You have tasted an orange before, but you know that each experience is unique and different. You acknowledge what the orange might taste like, but you don’t feed into it. Also, you are grounded and in a peaceful state. The argument happened, but you realize that it’s not worth ruminating over, and you will communicate what needs to be said later. You focus on your breath, and you begin to taste the orange. Time begins to slow down. You are a hundred percent concentrating your attention on your taste senses. You chew slowly and thoroughly, and the deliciousness is permeating throughout your tongue. Distractions are present, but they are insignificant and cannot take your attention away from that succulent fruit. Who do you think will enjoy and be able to describe the experience better?

Meditation gives you the ability to utilize the senses to perceive stimuli for the first time. It gives you the adventure rush of a child experiencing the world for the first time and having the wisdom of already experienced the world.

REPROGRAMING YOUR MIND

Another ability of meditation is to non-judgmentally view your thoughts and reshape the dominant thoughts in your mind to more fulfilling and blissful states. With meditation, you learn that you are not your thoughts, that you have no control over the monkey mind, and that what gives the power of your thoughts is your attention and energy behind them. So with this realization, let your thoughts come, let them be, and let them go. With this awareness, you are not watering the seeds of destructive states, and they will lose their power and hold over you. They will always be present and dormant. Stresses and life can trigger them, but with them being in such a weakened state, they will have little effect. Then you begin to water the seeds that will bring happiness and contentment. You decide to lead with love and understanding. It will feel weird and foreign, but over time, it will set its roots in your mind and become the dominant state.

CONNECTING WITH YOUR TRUE ESSENCE 

The last benefit of meditation is the daily connection with your true nature. With time and energy, the relationship will grow, and will become a place of refugee, peace, bliss, and discovery. You will become aware of behaviors that heighten this connection, such as; 

  • Eating whole life-giving foods
  • Fasting and allowing your digestive tract and body to heal itself(autophagy)
  • Getting superb rest to allow your mind to heal and rest
  • Engaging in positive thinking and actions that do not dwell on your consciousness. 
  • Exercise
  • Genuinely connecting with other people
  • Prayer

By honoring your internal presence, and not being persuaded by external factors, your intuition will begin to grow and permeate itself into everyday life. This intuition will guide you towards your purpose, towards your mission, towards the activities that bring you love, contentment, and fulfillment.

My question to you, will you honor your soul and inner light? Will you connect with it, cherish it, and allow it to guide you towards fulfillment? Will you engage in meditation to increase your focus, increase your mindfulness to get the most out of life, and discover who you are?

The Illumination of Death

I want you to imagine the significant people in your life. It could be your parents, grandparents, friendships, romantic relationships, coworkers, etc. They have all gathered up in a familiar cemetery. There is a sense of sadness and grief in the air. The wind is frigid, felt deep within the bones and howling against the trees, and everybody dressed for the day of reckoning: all black. It’s a grim and murky day. The rain is soothing yet trembling.

You want to engage with your significant people, but you can not. You scream, you push, you trample your way through, hoping to be heard, hoping to be seen but to no avail. You are nonexistent to them. They are walking towards a gravesite, and the unthinkable begins to reveal itself. Your intuition knows, but you do not want to face this nightmare, is that me. Am I dead? Upon further inspection, you notice what you knew to be true in your heart and soul. Your time on this earth has ended. You are no longer able to bring your gift into the world or acknowledge and engage with the people that mean the most to you.

You no longer get to enjoy the small things in life, such as; sunshine on a beautiful summer day. The smell of fresh-cut grass. The genuine connections of interacting with your fellow human being. Something else captures your attention. The special people in your life are about to talk about your life and how you have impacted them.

Now the real part. Now the part where feelings of shame, embarrassment, and guilt might unveil themselves. At this point in life, what do you think they would say about you. Would they have words of encouragement, inspiration, gratitude, kindness , compassion, and love? Or would they say something that you might not want to hear? Perhaps feelings of pain, suffering, despair, nonacceptance and hopelessness. Only you know the answer that this will bring. Truly envision what they would say and the emotions that are coming to the surface, feel them as your own.

Acceptance must come first. Admitting one’s faults, insecurities, and misguided deeds/actions must be made known. You cannot begin to change your path and trajectory in life until you truly accept where you are. Truly accept the consequences of the actions that you have been doing. Once this has begun, you can take the responsibility to adapt and transform into the person you desire.

Let’s re-frame this situation. Now at the funeral. I want you to imagine how you would wish for your significant relationships to talk about you. How will you be remembered? What values do you want to instill and display in the face of adversity? What accomplishments or goals did you actively seek out and gave it everything you had? How did you leave your mark on the world? What legacy did you leave behind? Take some time and honestly think about these statements.

Now start putting in the actions that bring you closer to who you want to become. The beautiful thing is, each day, you have this opportunity. Each day you have a gift to bring out your light into this world. When tempted with anger, dissatisfaction, or suffering, you have a moment to change it to love, understanding, and compassion.

Let me give you an example, say you are prone to anger and yelling when frustrated. Next time your beloved family is doing something that drives you wild, such as asking are we there yet. Ask yourself, by the actions in which I’m about to take, am I becoming the person who I want to be?

With this brief pause in time, this heightened state of consciousness, it gives you the power to choose who you are becoming. This seemingly small insignificant moment might not mean anything to you. It will fade in the abyss of time. However, this moment could linger indefinitely with the other person. People are going to forget what you said, they will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.

No PMO( Porn, Masturbation, Orgasm) 90Days [05/07/20]

Welcome to the first challenge of the channel fellow people. This one is rather difficult, and I can only relate to the perspective of a male. Females can receive some benefit as well but not to the extent with males and life force, or seed energy.


So what is no PMO? It’s no porn, masturbation, and orgasm, and it helps break destructive pathways in the brain related to porn. It helps reset the overabundance of dopamine(pleasure hormone) that’s wreaking havoc on your reward system. I will be adventuring forth into the unknown with a minimum of 90 days of this challenge, and will be excluding sexual thoughts/fantasy as well to speed up the healing process. Also, many modifications can be made based on your life and relationship status. You can still have sex with a partner if you’re in a relationship, but some users have reported that it interferes with progress. It’s best if possible to go Cold Turkey. I do also have some other habits that will make this challenge more successful and speed up the recovery.

First, if you combine mediation with no PMO, the internal energy will be much more robust and allows your brain and body to heal much more quickly during this journey. When I speak of internal energy, I’m referring to the ability to feel sensations throughout the body and mind during mediation. Furthermore, it helps build awareness of the thoughts and emotions of potential triggers and gives you mindfulness to break out of your habit patterns. Meditation is a game-changer in all aspects of your life, and I would highly recommend engaging in it anyway, regardless of this challenge or not. Dangers of Porn [05/04/20]

Are you feeling depressed, low motivation, low self -worth, lack of genuine relationships and romantic partners, troubling Erectile Dysfunction (ED) issues, low libido, maybe even confused/ troubled on your sexuality? What if I told you that porn could be causing you some serious issues! If any of these symptoms resonates with you, I do have some knowledge and awareness that can alter your perspective.

Let us talk about a big taboo, porn. Porn is a massive industry and is exploding in the digital age. It’s available at just the click of a button, and it is reaching a wide audience all over the world. It is seemingly everywhere due to the proactive and selling nature of it. Younger children are being exposed to it and it is causing a big disruption in normal sexuality and relationships. So what’s the problem with porn?

Before bashing on this industry there are some goods of it. First off if your working in the industry that you love what you do, or who you do, more power to you. I do not have any right to tell you indifferently. There are some educational videos out there that a more realistic view of sex and it can be a way for people to cum together and enhance their relationship with one another. However, I feel that this is more of the exception and not the rule.

Porn can be very addictive and damaging to the brain. There are studies showing it lights up the same areas of the brain in porn addicts as serious hard drugs, such as cocaine and heroin. Studies show that it diminishes grey matter in the brain that is associated with cognitive function, and it offsets the reward mechanisms in the brain by the over flooding of the hormone dopamine and by the desensitizing nature of those pathways. Also, it tends to lead to isolation, thoughts of shame, and embarrassment. Furthermore, it is preventing individuals from seeking real, and fulfilling relationships.  

What happens in the brain when you watch a porn video? When watching things or doing things that are evolutionary vital to our survival, your body must make those things pleasurable by releasing dopamine. This insured that when we ate something fatty and calorie dense, we would enjoy it. It means that when we saw an attractive mate and continued forward in the mating process, it ensured that we would continue to reproduce and survive. It meant that when accomplishing an important goal, that you would be rewarded to do it again. When you are watching a media of a sexual nature, your brain is shooting dopamine to think that this is important, that this is evolutionary to your survival. Your brain can not tell the difference between reality and the screen. Just an occasional video is fine, but how often is that the case?

Usually right when you open the media in which you are watching porn, you exposed to hundred of videos, hundreds of pictures, gifs, obscure categories and such. How often do you watch just one video and be done? Usually you spend time trying to find that perfect video or the most attractive mate. With each new video seen, with each new category explored, dopamine is exploded into the brain. There are a few mechanisms in which the dopamine is released. We will start with anticipation. By the way this can be used in your favor and in more healthy ways.

I want you to think about a (said in a slow, seductive, voice) juuuiiicccyyy, roooounnnnd, currrrvvvvy piece in all the right places, just your type, hhhhhm looking soo good. I know you want it.
